North West TaeKwonDo History
North West Tae Kwon Do(NWTKD) has fully qualified and insured male and female international instructors led by Mr. Brian Williams 6th Dan. NWTKD began in 1984, initially with sessions at Penwortham and Preston West View leisure centres in Lancashire, North West England as members of the United Kingdom Tae Kwon Do Association (UKTA). Shortly after, NWTKD became members of the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) and expanded to run sessions in the following Lancashire leisure centre venues: Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Accrington, Chorley and Garstang.
Clubs in Lancashire, ChesireĀ and Kent
Since the start, NWTKD has produced many black belts, some of whom now teach Tae Kwon Do throughout the World. North West Tae Kwon Do now has clubs in Lancashire and Kent and these are listed under Training Times.
Child protection
We take the issues surrounding child protection very seriously and all NWTKD instructors are vetted in order to teach children. To further ensure the utmost care and appreciation is afforded to all children who train with us, instructors have pro-actively undertaken a NSPCC Children in Sport Course. A fully fledged Association in its own right Since 1997, North West Tae Kwon Do has been an Association in its own right.
