Mr. Brian Williams is chief instructor of the North West Tae Kwon Do Association. Brian started training in Tae Kwon Do in 1971 whilst in the Royal Air Force with the United Kingdom Tae Kwon Do Association (UKTA). He had already achieved his black belt in Judo. Brian was taught Tae Kwon Do by Master Ki Ha Rhee 7th Dan before moving to Singapore to train with Master Han Cha Kyo 7th Dan. Brian was promoted to 1st Dan and was offered a full time Tae Kwon Do training opportunity with the master’s academy at Seoul, South Korea. Due to work commitments, he was unable to accept and moved to Malta where he taught for 3 years. On his return to the UK, he started teaching in North Wales before moving to Preston in 1984. Brian was awarded 4th Dan with Master Hee Il Cho and 5th Dan with the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB). Brian left the TAGB and is now in charge of the North West Tae Kwon Do Association. In recognition of a lifetime's achievement, Brian was awarded his 6th Dan by a committee of the Association's senior and principal instructors in September 2005.
