About:

This Club has been running for over 6 years initially by David Cummins, 3rd Dan Black Belt and recently handed over to Brian and Gill following David’s job move.
There is a mixture of grades and abilities with an average of 10 to 15 students. A variety of Tae Kwon Do activities are covered in each lesson with fun elements incorporated for the children. Beginners will be taught a range of self defence techniques within a relatively short period of time in a safe and effective manner. We welcome beginners of all abilities from the age of 7 upwards - we hope you will come and join us!

Please telephone Gill Williams on 01772 633780 if you would like further information before starting or come along to one of the classes with your enrolment fee of £14 for 4 lessons. You are welcome to come along and watch a class beforehand if you wish.

ABOUTBrian starting training in Scotland in 1972 after having gained his black belt at Judo. After training in several different countries he finally settled in North Wales where he founded Tae Kwon Do and left it as one of the strongest regions in the country. Brian then moved to Preston in 1984 where he started the Penwortham and Leyland classes under the UKTA led by Master Ki Ha Rhee. He then continued to expand the clubs in the North West under the new TAGB association under Master He Il Cho. Brian now runs the independent NWTKD.

ABOUTGill has been teaching for over 10 years. Gill achieved distinction grades at all her colour belt examinations with the TAGB and gained her black belt after just 3 ½ years. She now devotes her time to teaching and running the administrative side of the Association. She is enthusiastic, friendly and has a good rapport with students.
